Part one.

Much has been written about the drive to net zero carbon. Forward-thinking building and estate owners have made their declarations clear and are actively working towards this future.

Currently, in the vast majority of cases, this is being driven by a desire for net zero – a need and want to be climate-conscious entities. However there is a recognition that regulations will need to ‘keep up’ with the market. To that end, there are various regulations and guidelines in the pipeline that are not directly ‘net zero carbon’ regulations but do form part of this journey.

This timeline indicates those that are already in place and those that are expected to come up, all with the overarching ambition to improve building performance on the route to our net zero carbon future.
