Joining the Taskforce on Nature-Related Financial Disclosures
We're actively shaping ESG
Developing a means to better account for the mutual impacts, risks, opportunities and dependencies that exist between businesses and nature is one of the most undeniably crucial tasks of today, and that’s exactly what global multi-disciplinary consultative group the Taskforce for Nature-Related Financial Disclosures has been set up to do.
Consisting of various organisations including financial institutions, corporates, governments, regulators, multi-laterals, NGOs, and consortiums, the TNFD collectively has £18.3trn assets under management, and the momentum behind its approach is snowballing with the support of G7 Finance Ministers and the G20 Sustainable Finance Roadmap.
Led by Robert Winch, Senior ESG Consultant, we have recently joined the group and, as such, are now actively contributing to the TNFD Forum, along with over 400 other forum members. A highly significant body in the ESG world, this is the nature-focused version of the Taskforce for Climate-Related Financial Disclosures, to which reporting back is now mandatory to all large businesses. It’s soon to be extended in scope of participants and it is predicted that the TNFD will follow in its footsteps, so watch that space.
