About me.
I have worked in building services since 1983, beginning my career as a draughtsman, followed by a short break in the merchant navy. Prior to joining Hoare Lea in 1996, I was the lead mechanical design engineer at a turn-key pharmaceutical design and building contractor. During this time, we created the UK’s first ultra-low humidity production facility.
I obtained a first-class Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering through the University of Manchester. Shortly after joining Hoare Lea I became a member of CIBSE and qualified as a Chartered Engineer, in 1999 I was invited to become a partner of the firm.
During my career I have gained invaluable experience working on projects across a breadth of sectors and locations, including projects in Sweden, Switzerland, Qatar, Iraq and India.
My role.
My role as a partner is to ensure that all our clients receive a first-class service by fully addressing their instruction and then delivering quality analysis. These investigations are undertaken in a thorough, yet proportionate manner to provide clear direction.
As part of the Expert Witness group, I address technical and contractual challenges in a timely, detailed, honest and forthright manner. I use my extensive knowledge and strong attention to detail to help avoid or resolve disputes.
In addition to my ongoing roles, I hold responsibility for all Quality Management, Environmental Management, and Health and Safety matters across the firm.
